About this spot

A small oasis in the heart of the city, preserving the atmosphere of a strolling pond garden originally built as the garden of a feudal lord's residence in the Edo period. Even surrounded by skyscrapers, walking along the edge of the pond immerses you in quiet water sounds and greenery, letting you forget the bustle of the city for a moment. The plantings change with the seasons, and in summer, its shady spots are popular for taking a break. Enjoying the contrasting scenery of skyscrapers and a Japanese garden at the same time is part of what makes this place special.

Tips

Admission is free, and you can stroll freely anytime. There are plenty of benches, so it's also a good spot to just stop and rest.
