Nasu Yoichi (那須与一) is the master archer said to have brilliantly shot a folding fan target on a rocking small boat during the Battle of Yashima in “The Tale of the Heike” (『平家物語』). This facility introduces the life of this hero associated with Otawara through powerful large-scale video and exhibits. Knowing the story of the figure the Yoichi Festival is named after deepens your understanding of the history this region takes pride in, making the day's festival even more enjoyable. Easy-to-understand explanations are also available for children.

Tips

Admission fee required. It's attached to the roadside station Michi-no-Eki Nasu Yoichi no Sato (道の駅那須与一の郷), making it convenient to visit both together.
