A shopping arcade symbolizing Koza, which developed as a U.S. military base town after World War II. The arcade walls feature colorful murals, and music shops and craft stores create a unique streetscape known throughout Okinawa Main Island for its foreign charm. On festival day, the entire street embraces a festive mood, and even simply walking through conveys the rising excitement.

沖縄本島各地から選抜された青年会が一堂に会する、県内最大規模のエイサー祭りです。2026年は9月4日から6日までの3日間開催され、コザ運動公園陸上競技場での演舞や、胡屋十字路周辺の道じゅねー(通り踊り)など、複数の会場で沖縄の伝統芸能エイサーを楽しめます。太鼓の力強い音と掛け声、青年会ごとに異なる衣装と振り付けは何度見ても飽きることがなく、旧盆に祖先の霊を送る沖縄の文化的な背景を体感できる貴重な機会です。
Tips
会場周辺は大規模な交通規制と混雑が予想されるため、公共交通機関や臨時駐車場の利用が安心です。日中の暑さが残る時間帯からの観覧になるため、水分補給と日焼け対策を。ベビーカーでの移動は人混みで難しい場面もあるため、抱っこ紐の準備もおすすめです。
