A large bridge in northern Okinawa connecting the main island and Yagaji Island, offering panoramic views of the complex rias-type coastline from the bridge and nearby observation points. 古宇利島の玄関口に位置する道の駅のような複合施設「古宇利の駅ソラハシ」で開かれる、夏恒例の盆踊りです。2026年は8月15日に開催予定。地元の農産物や海の幸を扱う売店を併設した施設の広場に提灯が灯り、太鼓の音を合図に地元の人々や観光客が一緒になって輪をつくります。橋を渡ってすぐの離島という開放的なロケーションで、海風を感じながら過ごす夏祭りの夜は格別です。
Tips
施設の駐車場は台数に限りがあるため、早めの到着が安心です。海沿いのため夜は風が強くなることもあるので、羽織ものがあると快適に過ごせます。屋台の有無は年により異なるため、念のため軽食を持参しておくと安心です。
Tips
Observation space is limited, so be careful not to disturb other vehicles when parking. The sun is intense, so apply sunscreen even for a short visit.
Best time to visit
Allow about 30 minutes. Best viewed in early afternoon when the air is clear and the colors are most vivid.
