A museum preserving the history of Omi-Hino merchants—itinerant traders from the Edo period onward who amassed fortunes through unique business acumen. The building itself is a former merchant house, with original accounting rooms, storehouses, and other spaces authentically revealing period life. A precious venue for understanding why Hino Town earned the title 'Birthplace of Merchants.'

日野町に古くから伝わる、麻がらでつくった松明に火をつけて振り回す勇壮な伝統行事です。2026年は8月14日・15日の2日間、19時30分から21時にかけて開催予定。夜の境内で炎を振り回すたびに、火の輪が幾重にも夜空に描かれる光景は、里山の集落に受け継がれてきた素朴で力強い火の祭りならではの迫力です。無病息災や五穀豊穣を願う人々の想いが込められた、地域の結束を感じられる夜となります。
Tips
会場周辺は駐車スペースが限られるため、早めの到着が安心です。火の粉が飛ぶことがあるため、化学繊維の服は避け、綿素材の服装がおすすめです。夜間の移動には懐中電灯があると安心です。
Tips
Approximately 15 minutes by car from Blume no Oka. The historic building has uneven floors in places. Viewing the museum alongside nearby Honmachi Street offers a fuller, three-dimensional understanding of Hino's merchant heritage.

Approximately 45 minutes. Afternoon's calm pace ideal for leisurely exploration.
