About this spot

A shrine renowned for its main shrine hall jutting out dramatically from a cliff on the middle slope of Mount Akagami, this sacred site has been revered since ancient times as a shrine for good fortune. While the climb to the main hall involves steep stone steps, the panorama from the observation platform at the summit stretches across the entire Ōmi Plain to Lake Biwa. Known as a power spot, this is an ideal place to offer family prayers and wishes for safe travels.
