About this spot

This is the only natural coastline remaining in Kanda Town. Amid a coastal area that has seen extensive land reclamation and industrialization, at low tide during spring tides, tidal flats appear far offshore, and Minoshima Island in Yukuhashi City can be seen across the water, making it an excellent spot to get close to the water. From spring through early summer, visitors can dig for razor clams, which are easy enough for children to catch, making it popular with families. Resting here under the summer sun while feeling the sea breeze and looking out at the ocean offers a refreshing feeling that's perfect for starting the day.

Tips

It's convenient to travel by car from Kanda Station. If you plan to swim, bring a change of clothes and a towel. Sun protection is important, as the midsummer sun can be strong.

About 1 hour. Hours closer to the morning tend to be relatively cool.
