The Kemano district, not far from Ōyu, has a history as a thriving commercial town and still retains warehouse-style merchant houses and old town streets. The area is renowned for "Kemano Bon Odori," designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property, and walking its streets conveys the depth of rooted regional traditions. While unpretentious, the quiet atmosphere makes it ideal for leisurely exploration.

Driving from Ōyu is convenient. Since the town is a living community, please view quietly and respect local customs.
Best time to visit
About 40 minutes. Late afternoon light is gentler, making exploration more pleasant.
