大湯温泉の玄関口である道の駅おおゆ(湯の駅おおゆ)を会場に、2026年8月15日(土)に開かれる地域の太鼓まつりです。大きな太鼓が力強く打ち鳴らされ、その音が湯けむり漂う温泉街に響き渡ります。道の駅には地元の農産物直売所や飲食コーナーもあり、日中の史跡めぐりや町歩きで疲れた体を休めながら本番を待つのにも便利です。縄文時代の遺跡から続く鹿角の歴史と、温泉地ならではの情緒を味わった1日の締めくくりに、地域に根づいた太鼓の響きを堪能しましょう。
Tips
道の駅の駐車場は夕方以降混み合うことがあります。夜は山あいのため冷え込むこともあるので羽織ものがあると安心です。太鼓の演奏は屋外で行われるため、雨天時は内容が変更になることがあります。

Driving from Ōyu is convenient. Since the town is a living community, please view quietly and respect local customs.
Best time to visit
About 40 minutes. Late afternoon light is gentler, making exploration more pleasant.
