Neputa Parade - Festival Floats Depart from Miyuki Park and Process Through the Streets
About this spot
Held July 30–August 5, 2026, this summer festival brightens Kuroishi. Fan-shaped lanterns are carried by the community as flutes and drums play, moving slowly through the streets from Miyuki Park. Unlike the grand Neputa floats of Hirosaki and Goshogawara, Kuroishi features smaller, handmade floats carried by local neighborhood associations and children. The glowing lanterns blend harmoniously with Komise's serene streets, creating a warm summer festival atmosphere unique to this small castle town.
