2026年は8月2日から3日まで開催される、平川市の夏を彩るねぷたまつりです。平賀駅前からデイリーヤマザキ平川店付近にかけて、地元の町内会や子ども会が手がけたねぷたが笛や太鼓のお囃子に合わせてゆっくりと練り歩きます。弘前や五所川原のような大規模な祭りとは違い、顔なじみの参加者と観客が一体となる距離の近さが魅力で、津軽の小さな町に受け継がれてきた夏祭りの温かさをじっくり味わえます。

会場周辺は住宅街に近いため、見物の際は近隣への配慮を忘れずに。駐車場が限られることがあるので、公共交通機関や近隣の駐車スペースを事前に確認しておくと安心です。

About 10 minutes by car from Hiraka Station. The grounds are spacious, and the pond perimeter can be damp—comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Lotus blossoms typically peak from late July through early August.
Best time to visit
Duration: approximately 50 minutes. Lotus flowers are open from morning through early afternoon.
