Castle ruins park offering a relaxing walking trail amid moats and stone walls
About this spot
A park built on the site of the former castle of the Shinjo Domain during the Edo period, where remnants of the moat and stone walls still stand. The park is well-shaded with many trees, making it ideal for strolling while avoiding the summer sun. The park also features Gokoku Shrine, where the quiet atmosphere allows visitors to connect with Shinjo's history. With its spacious, leisurely walking paths, it serves as an ideal warm-up before heading to the Kanayama Festival.

Tips
