The Atago Shrine Annual Festival, known as Noda Matsuri, is a village-wide summer event held every year in Noda Village, which faces the Sanriku sea. In 2026, it runs for three days, from August 21 to 23, with mikoshi and taiko drum processions, along with local traditional performing arts, centered on the Village Plaza, known as Non-chan Plaza. Food stalls also line the venue, and residents and visitors come together to enjoy a summer night in the warm, intimate atmosphere unique to a small village. As befits a seaside village, the charm of this day lies in being able to enjoy both daytime seaside fun and the nighttime festival.
