About this spot

A facility introducing the lifestyle and culture of Kuroshima, known for having more beef cattle than people. Exhibits cover the island's history of ranching and traditional events such as the Harvest Festival, deepening understanding of the festival you're about to attend. The air-conditioned interior is also valuable as a rest spot to escape the midday heat.

Tips

Located about 10 minutes by bicycle from Nishi-no-hama. The exhibit is compact, so you can efficiently gain background knowledge of the island even in a short time. If there are exhibits about the festival, be sure to check them—it will deepen your understanding for the actual event.

Best time to visit

Approximately 50 minutes. Recommended as an afternoon rest during the intense sun.
