About this spot

One of the premier shrines of Mutsu Province and a representative ancient shrine of Tanagura Town. There is another shrine with the same name within the town, and both have long been places of faith for the local people. The lush shrine grounds have a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and even in summer, the tree shade provides a comfortable and pleasant environment. By paying your respects at this shrine that has watched over the land since before Tanagura became established as a castle town, you can feel a deeper connection to the town's origins.

Tips

The shrine grounds have parking spaces. The approach path and some areas have natural ground surfaces, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Insect repellent is helpful during summer.

Best time to visit

Approximately 40 minutes required. Early afternoon hours allow for relatively quiet worship.
