Shoryuji Castle Park (勝竜寺城公園) is a park developed on the site of Shoryuji Castle, known as the castle into which Tama (Hosokawa Gracia), daughter of Akechi Mitsuhide, married. Stone walls, moats, and a replica turret have been restored, and despite the compact grounds you can enjoy a walk through history. Much of the park is paved, making it easy to get around with a stroller. It is just the right size for one circuit during the cool morning hours, and a quiet spot perfect for starting the day.

西山公園のジャブジャブ池は、京都府長岡京市の緑豊かな公園内にある無料の水遊び場です。2026年は4月26日(日)から9月6日(日)まで営業し、完全予約制で9時30分から17時10分までの間に4つの時間帯が設けられています(月・金曜定休)。浅く整備された水辺は小さな子どもでも安心して遊べる造りで、周囲を木々が囲んでいるため木陰も多く、夏の暑い日でも過ごしやすい環境です。近所でのんびり過ごしたい家族連れにとって、気軽に立ち寄れる貴重な水遊びスポットです。

Tips

完全予約制のため、訪問前に公式サイトで希望の時間帯の空き状況を確認し、事前予約を済ませておきましょう。月曜と金曜は定休日にあたるため注意が必要です。着替えの場所やタオルは各自で準備し、日差しが強い日は日陰を活用して休憩を取り入れるのがおすすめです。

Tips

It is within walking distance of JR Nagaokakyo Station, and free parking is also available. In summer, visiting in the morning before the sunlight grows strong keeps things cool. The park is not very large, so it fits easily as a quick first stop in the morning.
