This natural waterfall on the Yunosawa River in the Seiwa Prefectural Forest area is open at all times. There is no dedicated car park and roadside parking can get congested in summer, but it is a quiet natural spot with a plunge pool and clear pools spreading out amid deep green forest. If you choose the shallower places, even small children can touch the water safely alongside a guardian. The water is cold, so playing during the sunnier hours is recommended. Away from the bustle, you can spend private family time in nature.

Tips

Since there is no dedicated car park, take care not to obstruct other traffic when parking on the road. The riverbed has many slippery rocks, so shoes you do not mind getting wet are reassuring. There is a lot of shade and the water is cold, so take frequent breaks while you play.

Best time to visit

Around 13:00 to 15:00, when the sun is strong, is the most pleasant time to be in the water
