The Tsuki no Sabaku Memorial Statue (月の沙漠記念像) is a camel sculpture inspired by the children's song “Tsuki no Sabaku”, which is associated with Onjuku Town, and it stands along the Onjuku coast. Set against the dunes, the statue is loved as a symbol of Onjuku Town and is popular as a photo spot. With the sea in view, you can stroll while building anticipation for the beach you are about to visit. It takes only a short time to see, so it fits easily into a morning schedule.
