Enjoy river play in the clear flow of the Arakawa until evening
About this spot
Minano Oyahana Riverside (みなの親鼻河原, below Oyahana Bridge) is a river play spot on the Arakawa River flowing through Minano Town, Chichibu District. From late April through September it is open on weekends and public holidays from 8:30 to 17:00, and in August it is open every day, so it is easy to visit any time during the summer holidays. The riverbank is wide and open, and everyone can spend the day their own way, from families paddling calmly in the shallows to swimmers in the slightly deeper flow. Lush green mountains surround the area, so you can pass unhurried hours to the murmur of the river. The clear water typical of a mountain stream makes you forget the summer heat.
