Hakusan Chukyo Shrine (白山中居神社) is a shrine that has drawn reverence since ancient times as the Mino-side base of Hakusan worship. Giant cedars said to be several hundred years old stand within the grounds, and their solemn atmosphere brings visitors a sense of calm. It stands in the mountains near the headwaters of the Nagara River, and paying your respects in the clear morning air is a pleasant way to start the day. It is a spot where you can savor the stillness so characteristic of Gujo, with historic shrine buildings in harmony with nature.

清流長良川あゆパークは、郡上市白鳥町の長良川沿いに整備された川遊びスポットです。2026年は4月下旬から10月下旬までの土日祝に営業し、夏休み期間中は平日も利用できます(火曜定休)。清流として名高い長良川の澄んだ流れにふれながら、水しぶきをあげて遊べるのが魅力です。周囲は緑豊かな山あいの風景に囲まれ、川のせせらぎを聞きながらのんびり過ごせます。水がまだ冷たい午前中よりも、日差しが高くなる午後のほうが過ごしやすい時間帯です。

Tips

訪問前に営業日(土日祝・夏休みは平日も可、火曜定休)を確認しておきましょう。川の流れは場所によって深さが変わるため、小さな子どもは目を離さず、ライフジャケットの着用がおすすめです。濡れてもすべりにくい靴を履いていくと安全に過ごせます。

Tips

It is in the mountains, about 20 minutes by car from central Shirotori. The grounds have many natural stone steps, so visit in comfortable walking shoes. There is plenty of shade even in summer, so it stays cool.
