About this spot
Amidagataki Falls (阿弥陀ヶ滝) boasts a drop of 60 meters, is selected among Japan's 100 Famous Waterfalls, and is a symbol of Shirotori-cho in Gujo City. The force and roar of the water tumbling down are overwhelming, and the area around the plunge pool stays cool even in summer. From the observation point on the walking path you can view the falls up close, an easy distance even for small children. It is a spot where you can feel the vigorous purity of water unique to the headwaters of the Nagara River.

清流長良川あゆパークは、郡上市白鳥町の長良川沿いに整備された川遊びスポットです。2026年は4月下旬から10月下旬までの土日祝に営業し、夏休み期間中は平日も利用できます(火曜定休)。清流として名高い長良川の澄んだ流れにふれながら、水しぶきをあげて遊べるのが魅力です。周囲は緑豊かな山あいの風景に囲まれ、川のせせらぎを聞きながらのんびり過ごせます。水がまだ冷たい午前中よりも、日差しが高くなる午後のほうが過ごしやすい時間帯です。
Tips
訪問前に営業日(土日祝・夏休みは平日も可、火曜定休)を確認しておきましょう。川の流れは場所によって深さが変わるため、小さな子どもは目を離さず、ライフジャケットの着用がおすすめです。濡れてもすべりにくい靴を履いていくと安全に過ごせます。
Tips
From the parking lot to the observation point you walk a gently graded path. Near the plunge pool the ground gets wet from spray, so non-slip shoes are recommended. This stretch has plenty of shade and stays cool even in summer.

About 1 hour. The morning, before the sun strengthens, is cool and easy for walking
