Koijigahama Beach (恋路ヶ浜)

Flow of the course

About this spot

Koijigahama Beach (恋路ヶ浜) is a beautiful sandy beach spreading on the south side of Irago Cape, also known as the place associated with Shimazaki Toson's poem The Coconut. The white sand and the gentle sound of the waves are soothing, and walking barefoot gives a summery sense of freedom. It is the perfect stroll spot for taking your time enjoying the seaside atmosphere before entering the water athletic park.

Tips

The sand reflects strong heat during the day, so sandals or beach shoes make walking easier. If you want to swim, check in advance whether lifeguards are on duty and where the swimming area is. It is also popular as a photo spot, so a commemorative photo is recommended.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. The morning, while the sun is still gentle, is the easiest time to stroll.
