A fishing port on the Miura Peninsula known nationwide for landing tuna, with many eateries serving tuna dishes gathered nearby. Markets and souvenir shops line the harbor as well, making it a classic stop before or after sea bathing. Fill up on fresh tuna and you will have plenty of energy for the afternoon at the beach. The harbor scenery itself carries a sense of travel and is popular as a photo spot.
Tips
It often gets busy at lunchtime during the summer holidays, so arriving around noon is recommended. The parking lots get crowded, so head over with time to spare.
