A roadside station in Okuwa Village along National Route 19, lined with locally grown vegetables, gohei-mochi rice skewers and souvenirs unique to the Kisoji. It is easy to use as a rest stop, perfect for a drink or a light snack before heading to the valley. It also has a location overlooking the Kiso River, making it a facility families can easily drop into during a drive.
Tips
It is a few minutes by car from Josho-ji. In summer, ices and cold drinks are on sale as well, recommended for cooling off. There are few eateries at the valley, so picking up a light meal here is reassuring.
