Stroll a wild monkey paradise on a cape reached by monorail
About this spot
Hagachizaki-en is a nature park where you can see up close the several hundred Japanese macaques living across the cape area of Koura, Minami-Izu Town. From the parking lot you can ride a free monorail to the tip of the cape, and the ride itself becomes a fun attraction for children. In the plaza at the cape you can observe wild monkeys spending time freely, and the open location overlooking the Pacific is another attraction. It is a family-friendly stop that lets you connect with nature before sea bathing.

南伊豆町子浦にある子浦海水浴場は、2026年は7月27日(月)から8月16日(日)までの短い期間限定で開設される、入り江に抱かれた静かな海水浴場です。緑豊かな岬に囲まれた波の穏やかな砂浜は、有名ビーチに比べて人出も落ち着いており、家族でゆったり波遊びや砂遊びを楽しめます。午前の岬めぐりを終えたら、いよいよこの海がクライマックス。夕方まで思いきり南伊豆の海を満喫しましょう。

設備の詳細は事前に南伊豆町の公式情報で確認するのがおすすめです。夏の砂浜は熱くなるので、ビーチサンダルは必携です。開設期間が短いため、訪問日程は事前によく確認しておきましょう。

About 10 minutes by car from Koura Beach. Do not carelessly feed the monkeys, and keeping your bags closed is reassuring. The monorail may suspend service depending on the weather, so checking in advance is recommended.
