Kumomi Beach in Kumomi, Matsuzaki Town, is open in 2026 from Saturday, July 25 to Sunday, August 16 (with an advance opening from July 18 to 20 as well), with swimming hours from 9:00 to 16:00. The sandy shore cradled by a cove facing Suruga Bay has calm waves, and offshore you can view Ushitsuki-iwa, the symbol of Kumomi. While gazing at the beautiful coastal scenery unique to West Izu, you can spend the time freely until closing at 16:00, from playing in the water at the surf line to playing in the sand. The area is also known as a sunset spot, so if time allows, the changing colors of the evening sky are another pleasure.
