Kanebo Site Park (Suzunomori Park) Fountain
About this spot
The Kanebo Site Park (Suzunomori Park) Fountain in Matsusaka City is a free water-play spot in a park built on the grounds of a former spinning mill. According to the official guidance from Matsusaka City, the fiscal 2026 fountain runs from Saturday 25 April to Wednesday 30 September, 8:00 to 18:00. Three patterns of spray, including mist and water columns, rise from the centre of the lawn plaza, and cheers go up every time the force changes. The park also has a shallow stream and combination play equipment, a layout families appreciate because children can move between wet and dry play. The Haniwa Hall cultural property centre and a gallery making use of a red-brick warehouse offer somewhere to escape when the sun is fierce. Toilets and parking are well provided, so there is little to worry about when changing clothes or moving on.
Tips
Operation may be suspended depending on the weather, so check the Matsusaka City guidance for that day before setting out. The fountain is not a deep pond, but the ground gets wet and slippery, so water shoes are reassuring. The Haniwa Hall cultural property centre in the same park has its opening hours and fees posted on site, so check there if you plan to drop in. It runs until 18:00, so when the days are long you can also play in the cooler evening hours.
Best time to visit
About 3 hours. The afternoon, when the sun softens, is recommended, though it runs from 8:00 so you can also plan to play first thing in the morning
