LOGOS LAND
About this spot
The 13,000 m² great lawn at the heart of LOGOS LAND is wide enough to lie right down on. Play equipment is dotted around it, so mealtime turns into a discussion about which one to try next, very much a family way to spend it. There are BBQ and lodging facilities in the park, but both cost extra, so bringing a bento lets you spend the whole day without spending anything. Trees stand around the lawn, so when the sun is strong you can pick a shady spot to lay out your mat. Resting properly after eating means you can enjoy the afternoon athletic structures and water play right to the end.
Tips
It is safest to pick up bento and drinks around Kintetsu Terada Station or JR Joyo Station before you head over. Rubbish must be taken home as a rule, so bring plenty of bags. Some parts of the lawn have little to block the sun, so the trick is to claim a shady spot first. Avoid getting into the water straight after eating; waiting 20-30 minutes before heading to the waterside is safer.
Best time to visit
About 40 minutes. You can wait out the strong early-afternoon sun in the shade.
