Nopporo Forest Park, Osawaguchi Entrance Car Park

About this spot

This is the forest of a Hokkaido prefectural natural park, spreading across Sapporo, Ebetsu and Kitahiroshima. Within its roughly 2,000 hectares, woodland that retains its pre-settlement character has been preserved, and the air changes completely the moment you step onto a trail. Osawaguchi is a representative entrance where the forest is easy to reach from the car park, and the level paths make it well suited to walking with small children. What makes this forest interesting is that each walk brings different encounters, from Ezo squirrels and woodpeckers to the calls of summer birds. Even in midsummer the tree shade stays cool, so you can spend the morning without using up the energy you need for the afternoon in the water.

上江別公園水遊び場は、江別市にある無料の水遊びスポットです。2026年の開設期間は未発表ですが、例年は夏休みの時期に合わせて水が張られます。水深の浅い水遊び場なので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも足をひたして遊べるのが大きな魅力です。住宅街の中の公園なので人の目が届きやすく、大人は木陰から見守りながらゆっくり過ごせます。利用は無料なので、時間を気にせず気が済むまで遊ばせてあげられるのも家族連れにはうれしいところ。日の長い北海道の夏は、夕方になっても明るいまま遊び続けられます。

Tips

開設状況は年によって変わるため、出発前に江別市の案内で今年の期間を確認してください。着替えの場所は限られるので、水着を服の下に着せていくと現地での支度が楽になります。日陰は木の下が中心なので、日差しの強い日はワンタッチテントやレジャーシートがあると休憩しやすくなります。夕方は風が出て体が冷えることがあるため、羽織ものを一枚持っていくと安心です。

Tips

The trails are mainly earth and gravel, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Mosquitoes and black flies appear in summer, so insect repellent and a thin long-sleeved layer make the walk more pleasant. The further in you go, the longer the way back, so with small children a good balance is to walk 30 to 40 minutes from the entrance and then turn around. There are almost no shops in the park, so bring your own drinks.
