Ishikari Fureai no Mori Park Wading Pool
About this spot
The Ishikari Fureai no Mori Park Wading Pool is a free water play spot in Hanakawa, Ishikari City. In 2026 it is open from Monday 15 June to Tuesday 15 September, from 10:00 to 16:00, extended to 9:00 to 18:00 during the summer holidays of the city's elementary schools. It is a shallow wading pool with a fountain and a flowing stream, so children who love getting drenched and children who prefer to quietly dip their feet can each play their own way. The park also has a large net play structure, a lawn and flower beds, so play never breaks off even when the water loses its appeal, which is a great draw. With toilets and a car park on site, it is an easy place to plan a day around with small children. Adults can rest in the shade while looking at the flower beds, making it a comfortable park for grown-ups too.
Season & hours
Name: 石狩ふれあいの杜公園 徒渉池
Date & time: 6/15 (Mon)–9/15 (Tue) 10:00–16:00 ※市内小学校の夏休み期間は9:00–18:00・毎週木曜は清掃のため運転休止

Tips
It closes every Thursday for cleaning, so be sure to check the day you plan to go. Opening times change depending on whether it is the summer holiday period, so confirm the day's hours in the Ishikari City information to be certain. The sea is close by and windy days feel colder, so bring an extra layer and a change of clothes that can be pulled on quickly. During the period that ends at 16:00, starting to pack up around 15:30 leaves plenty of time to get home.
Best time to visit
Arrive at 13:40 and you have about 2 hours 20 minutes, plenty of play right up to closing.
