Moere Hill
About this spot
An artificial hill you climb up the grassy slopes of Moerenuma Park. It is not especially high, but because the surrounding land is flat, standing at the top brings Sapporo's cityscape and the wide sky into view all at once. For children the climb itself becomes play, and running back down the grassy slope alone is enough to draw cheers. In summer the Sea Fountain shoots high into the air, and watching the water change shape feels like a run-up to the afternoon's water play. Choose a shaded patch of grass, lay out a picnic sheet, and it turns straight into a lunch spot.

中沼公園 水遊び場は、札幌市東区の中沼公園に夏だけ現れる浅い水遊び場です。2026年は7月3日(金)から8月23日(日)まで、10:00〜16:00に開放され、利用は無料です。水深が浅いので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも自分の足で立って遊べるのが安心なところ。入れ替えや順番待ちがないため、遊びたいときに入って、疲れたら木陰で休むという自由なリズムで過ごせます。近所の子どもたちが集まる場所なので、その日はじめて会った子と一緒に遊びだすのも公園の水遊び場らしい光景です。モエレ沼公園を歩いてきた足を、そのまま冷たい水で休ませられるのもうれしいところです。
Tips
開放は10:00〜16:00です。天候不良や清掃、水質管理の都合で休みになる日があるため、出発前に札幌市の案内で当日の状況を確認してください。更衣室はないので、水着は下に着ていくか、ラップタオルなどで着替えられる用意をしておくと安心です。札幌の夏は日が陰ると急に涼しくなるので、上がったあとに羽織る一枚を必ず持っていきましょう。日陰が限られるため、レジャーシートがあると休憩が楽になります。
Tips
You'll be climbing a slope, so shoes that are easy to walk in are safer than sandals. There is almost no shade here, so be sure to bring a hat and drinks. The Sea Fountain runs on a set schedule, so checking the times when you arrive means you won't miss it. Securing a shaded spot before laying out lunch makes the break far more comfortable.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 50 minutes. Deciding whether to eat before or after the climb based on the day's heat keeps it easy
