About this spot

A large park in Toyohira Ward with plenty of ups and downs, where the boat pond and the play equipment built into the slope are popular with children. Inside the grounds there is the Park Life Center, with restrooms and places to rest, so it is easy to spend a whole day here even with little ones. There is a lot of shaded lawn, so you will find just the right spot to lay out a picnic sheet and eat lunch. Because you play while going up and down slopes, children use their bodies differently than in a flat park, which is part of the fun. Moving around to your heart's content here before the afternoon water play makes the day feel all the more satisfying.

Tips

The boats have set operating days, hours and fees, so check in advance if you plan to ride. The grounds are uneven, so choose an easy route if you are pushing a stroller. Shaded lawn areas fill up before noon, so deciding on your spot early is reassuring. Getting into the water right after eating is hard on the body, so rest a little before heading to Yoshidayama Park.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 40 minutes. Spending the hot hours around midday in the shade is the most comfortable.
