A shrine in Heiwa, Nishi-ku, long cherished as the guardian shrine of the whole Nishino district. It sits just a little way in from the residential streets, and as you pass through the torii gate the green of the groves envelops you and the air changes. The grounds are well tended and a quiet time flows through them, so you can worship calmly together with children. Purifying your hands at the water basin and putting your palms together at the main hall is a short sequence, yet one that stays in a child's memory. There is plenty of shade, making it well suited to a morning break on a hot day.

札幌市西区の西野北公園にある「西野北公園水遊び場」は、無料で利用できる浅い水遊び場です。開設期間は2026年6月6日(土)から9月6日(日)まで、時間は9:00〜17:00と、夏をまるごとカバーする長さがあります。水深が浅いため、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で入っていけます。山の近い西野の住宅街にあり、地元の子どもたちに混じって遊べる気取らない雰囲気が魅力です。入れ替え時間がないので、遊びと休憩を子どものペースで繰り返せます。料金は無料なので、午後だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

終了は17:00です。着替えと片づけを考えて16:30ごろに水から上がると余裕をもって帰れます。天候や水温、清掃作業によって利用できない日があるため、出かける前に札幌市の案内ページで当日の状況を確認してください。日陰が限られる時間帯があるので、帽子と日焼け止めは忘れずに。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意しましょう。

Tips

Spend your time quietly on the grounds, and walking to the side rather than down the center of the approach is the polite way. Follow the on-site notices for the conditions of parking use. Mosquitoes can appear in summer, so insect repellent makes the visit more comfortable. Check the official information for the hours of the amulet office.
