The water is shallow, so even small children who cannot swim yet can walk in on their own two feet. It sits in the residential streets of Nishino near the mountains, and its unpretentious atmosphere, where children can mix in and play with local kids, is part of the appeal. Because there are no clearing times, playing and resting can be repeated at a child's own pace. Admission is free, so an afternoon-only visit works too.

Closing time is 17:00. Getting out of the water around 16:30 leaves time to change and pack up without rushing. Shade is limited at certain hours, so do not forget a hat and sunscreen. Children not yet out of diapers should wear swim diapers.
