This city-run science museum inside Makomanai Park (真駒内公園) takes salmon as its theme. Its highlight is the chance to follow, tank by tank, the life of the salmon that return to the Toyohira River (豊平川) — eggs, fry and adults in order — with displays that present it as the story of a river close to home, easy for children to grasp. Outdoors there are rearing ponds where you can watch the fish while feeling the flow of the water up close. Admission is free, so it is an easy way to spend a morning hour. Slotting it into the morning of a water-play day links the themes of water and living creatures across the whole day.

札幌市南区の澄川サニー公園にある「澄川サニー公園水遊び場」は、無料で利用できるじゃぶじゃぶ池です。2026年の開設期間は7月10日(金)から8月25日(火)まで、時間は10:00〜16:00となっています。水深約30cmのプールにはウォータースライダーが2本あり、小学生は何度もすべって歓声をあげられます。隣には水深約10cmの浅場があって、ゾウ型のすべり台がついているので、未就学児は自分の背丈に合った深さで安心して遊べます。深さの違う場所が並んでいるため、きょうだいで年齢が離れていても同時に楽しめるのがこの水遊び場の強みです。料金は無料なので、午後だけ立ち寄る使い方もできます。

Tips

終了は16:00です。着替えと片づけを考えて15:45ごろには水から上がりましょう。スライダーは順番待ちができることがあるので、混雑する昼過ぎを避けて13時台に入ると回転よく遊べます。天候や水温、清掃作業によって利用できない日があるため、出かける前に札幌市の案内ページで当日の状況を確認してください。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意しましょう。
