A shrine in Hassamu (発寒), Nishi Ward, long loved as the guardian deity of the neighborhood. Even though it sits in a part of Hassamu where homes and factories mingle, the moment you pass through the torii gate you are wrapped in green trees and quiet, and that contrast is what makes it memorable. The grounds are not too large, so even families with small children can pay a pleasant visit in a short time. It is a good chance for parents and children to check the etiquette together: purifying your hands at the water basin, then two bows, two claps and one bow at the main hall. There is plenty of shade, which also makes it a good morning rest stop on a hot day.

札幌市西区の春日緑地にある「春日緑地水遊び場」は、無料で利用できる浅い水遊び場です。開設期間は2026年6月6日(土)から9月6日(日)まで、時間は9:00〜17:00と、夏をまるごとカバーする長さがあります。水深が浅いため、まだ泳げない小さな子どもでも自分の足で入っていけるのが安心なところ。住宅街のなかの緑地なので、地元の子どもたちに混じって遊ぶふだんの夏の風景に加われます。プールのような入れ替え時間がなく、遊びたいだけ遊んで、飽きたら休むという過ごし方ができます。料金は無料なので、午後だけ短く立ち寄る使い方にも向いています。

Tips

終了は17:00です。着替えと片づけの時間を見て16:30ごろに水から上がると余裕をもって帰れます。天候や水温、清掃作業によって利用できない日があるため、出かける前に札幌市の案内ページで当日の状況を確認してください。日陰が少ない時間帯があるので、帽子と日焼け止めは必須です。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意しましょう。

Tips

Keep quiet on the grounds, and it is polite to walk to the side rather than down the middle of the approach path. Follow the on-site signs regarding whether there is a dedicated parking lot and how it may be used. Mosquitoes can appear in summer, so insect repellent makes the visit more comfortable.
