This is the free water play spot Ekimae Park Fountain Plaza (駅前公園噴水広場) in Ekimae Park in Gyotoku, Ichikawa. The city officially gives the season as from late April to the end of September, and in 2026 it can be enjoyed from around Saturday, April 25 to around Wednesday, September 30, from 10:00 to 16:30. The fountain works on a cycle of 15 minutes of spray and 15 minutes of rest, so a natural rhythm forms in which you take a break and drink water while the fountain is off. Swimwear is not required, so you can drop by casually in clothes that can get wet, which makes this plaza very easy to use. It stops in rain or strong wind. Note that the 25-meter pool and the small pool in the same park are treated as separate facilities, so do not confuse them.

Tips

The fountain stops every 15 minutes, so building a rhythm of moving into the shade to rest while it is off keeps everyone from tiring. Since swimwear is not needed, be sure to bring dry clothes to change into. The ground gets wet and slippery, so footwear that does not slip off is reassuring. It ends at 16:30, so starting to get ready to change before 16:00 lets you head home calmly.
