A station building directly connected to Chiba Station, with a strong lineup of restaurants and a food floor. Even when children want different things, there are enough options to land on a lunch the whole family is happy with. The air-conditioned interior is also a dependable place to cool down before an afternoon outdoors. The Water Plaza requires a swimsuit or swim diaper, so if you notice you have forgotten something, picking it up here is reassuring. Being directly connected to the station, it is easy to reach for families traveling mainly by train.

千葉市中央区の千葉ポートパークにある、無料の水遊び場「千葉ポートパーク ウォータープラザ」です。浅い水面の水遊び広場で、海に面した開放的な公園の中にあるため、水面のきらめきと海風の両方を感じながら遊べます。令和7年度は7月19日から8月31日まで、10時から16時までの開設でしたが、2026年度分は未発表のため、出かける前に公式の案内で確認してください。裸やおむつのみでの利用はできず、水着または水遊び用おむつの着用が必要です。ペットの入水はできず、ボール・浮き輪・水鉄砲の使用もできません。ルールがはっきりしているぶん、小さな子でも落ち着いて遊べる環境が保たれています。

2026年度の開設期間は未発表なので、必ず事前に公式の案内で確認してから出かけてください。水着または水遊び用おむつが必須なので、忘れると入れません。ボール・浮き輪・水鉄砲は使えないため、遊び道具は持っていかない前提で準備を。開けた場所で日陰が限られるので、帽子とラッシュガードで日差しを防ぎましょう。
Tips
The restaurant floors get crowded around noon on weekends, so going a little earlier or shifting to after 13:00 cuts the wait. Balls, inflatable rings and water guns cannot be used, so there is no need to buy play equipment. Secure drinks, a spare towel and a plastic bag here. There are nursing rooms and baby rest rooms, so it is an easy place to move around with an infant.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 20 minutes. To avoid the crowds, before 12:00 or after 13:00 is more comfortable
