Yagiri Ferry Crossing (Yagiri side)

About this spot

This is a ferry across the Edogawa River (江戸川) linking Matsudo City with Shibamata (柴又) in Tokyo's Katsushika Ward. Instead of an engine, a boatman rows it, and once you reach midstream the sound fades away and only the sense of flowing water remains. The crossing takes only about ten minutes, but for children the experience of 「riding a boat」 itself becomes a big memory. You approach the landing by walking along the Edogawa embankment, so a stroll in the morning river breeze comes with it. The ferry has been a means of transport since the Edo period and still carries people to and from Shibamata on the opposite bank.

松戸市が『おでかけマップ』の親水施設として紹介している、無料の水遊び場「柳原親水広場（親水池）」です。水深の浅い親水池が中心なので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも自分の足で水の中に入っていけます。ベンチとトイレ、駐車場がそろっていて、着替えや休憩の場所に困らないのが家族連れにはありがたいところ。料金がかからないため、午前だけ、夕方だけといった短時間の使い方もしやすい施設です。2026年の開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間に水が入ります。江戸川の土手が近く、水遊びの前後に川辺を歩けるのもこの場所ならではの楽しみ方です。

Tips

開設期間が未発表のため、出かける前に松戸市の案内で当日の開設状況を確認してください。日陰は限られるので、レジャーシートと帽子、日焼け止めを忘れずに。池の底は滑りやすいことがあるため、素足ではなくマリンシューズやサンダルが安心です。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意し、遊んだあとは水道でしっかり洗い流しましょう。
