This is 「Yanagihara Waterside Plaza Wading Pond (柳原親水広場)」, a free water-play spot that Matsudo City introduces as a waterside facility in its outing map. The heart of it is a shallow wading pond, so even a child who has only just started walking can step into the water on their own feet. Benches, toilets and a car park are all there, which families appreciate when it comes to changing clothes and taking breaks. Because there is no charge, it is easy to use for a short visit in the morning only or in the evening only. The opening period for 2026 has not been announced; in most years the water is filled during the summer holidays. The Edogawa embankment is close by, so walking along the riverside before or after the water play is a pleasure unique to this place.
