Taishakuten Approach Street (帝釈天参道)

About this spot

This is a short approach street of about 200 metres running straight from the temple gate toward the station. Old wooden storefronts stand side by side, with shops selling kusa dango (mugwort rice dumplings), rice crackers and river-fish dishes. Just walking it gives a strong flavour of the Showa era, and children can feel an 「old-time townscape」 with their whole body. There are places to eat as well, so have a proper lunch here to prepare for the afternoon water play. Buying a snack and eating it on the embankment is another way to spend the time.

松戸市が『おでかけマップ』の親水施設として紹介している、無料の水遊び場「柳原親水広場（親水池）」です。水深の浅い親水池が中心なので、歩き始めたばかりの子でも自分の足で水の中に入っていけます。ベンチとトイレ、駐車場がそろっていて、着替えや休憩の場所に困らないのが家族連れにはありがたいところ。料金がかからないため、午前だけ、夕方だけといった短時間の使い方もしやすい施設です。2026年の開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間に水が入ります。江戸川の土手が近く、水遊びの前後に川辺を歩けるのもこの場所ならではの楽しみ方です。

Tips

開設期間が未発表のため、出かける前に松戸市の案内で当日の開設状況を確認してください。日陰は限られるので、レジャーシートと帽子、日焼け止めを忘れずに。池の底は滑りやすいことがあるため、素足ではなくマリンシューズやサンダルが安心です。おむつが取れていない子は水遊び用おむつを用意し、遊んだあとは水道でしっかり洗い流しましょう。

Tips

Eateries get crowded at lunchtime on weekends, so going in during the 11 o'clock hour or shifting to after 1 pm shortens the wait. The approach street is narrow and busy, so hold small children by the hand. Topping up drinks and snacks for the afternoon water play here saves you from rushing at the park.
