This is 「Fukuro Park Splash Pond and Fountain」, the free water-play spot in Fukuro Park (袋公園) in Asahi City. In 2026 it is open from Wednesday 1 July to Wednesday 23 September, from 9:00 to 16:30. As a rule it is closed all day every Thursday for cleaning, but there is no cleaning on 2 July, 13 August and 20 August, while cleaning is suspended on Monday 17 August, so check these exceptions when you set your dates. There is no lifeguard on duty, so this is a place that assumes a guardian is always watching close by. Animals may not be brought in. Groves of trees spread around the pond, so shade is easy to find and you can play for a long stretch with breaks in between, which is the good part of this park.

Tips

Thursdays are closed as a rule, so if you go on a weekday, aim for the exception days (2 July, 13 August, 20 August) or choose a day other than Thursday. There is no lifeguard, so never take your eyes off small children. It closes at 4:30 pm, so starting to get changed before 4 pm lets you head home unhurried. Do not count on a changing room; plan to change in the car or in the shade and you will be fine.
