Tega no Oka Park

About this spot

This is the wooden adventure playground that Tega no Oka Park is known for, built into the slope of a copse. Structures of rope and logs are scattered through the trees, and because there is plenty of shade, it is relatively comfortable to move around even in midsummer. The range of difficulty means elementary schoolers can take on a real challenge while smaller children play at an easy pace on the lower structures. Getting your body moving before entering the water makes the time at the Jabujabu Pond feel even better. Being able to go straight from working up a sweat to water play is what makes this park so easy to use.

Venue: 柏市・手賀の丘公園

柏市の手賀の丘公園にある、無料の水遊び場「手賀の丘公園じゃぶじゃぶ池」です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、9時から16時まで開放されます。定休日は月曜ですが、7月20日(祝・月)は営業、7月21日(火)が休止、8月31日(月)は営業という変則の日程なので、出かける前に日付を確かめてください。足をつけて遊ぶ施設のため、泳いだり顔を水につけたりすることはできず、サンダル等での利用もできません。雨天や前日の豪雨があると中止になることがあるので、前日からの天気も確認しておきましょう。森に囲まれた立地で木陰が多く、真夏でも過ごしやすいのが魅力です。

Tips

サンダルでは利用できないため、脱げにくいマリンシューズを必ず用意してください。泳ぐ場所ではないので、浮き輪より水鉄砲やバケツなど「足元で遊ぶ道具」が向いています。16時で終了なので、15時台には着替えの準備を始めるとあわてずに済みます。木陰が多いぶん蚊もいるので、虫よけを持っていくと快適です。

Tips

The play structures are wooden and become slippery after rain, so take care. There are many mosquitoes in the woods, so insect repellent makes the visit more comfortable. Take on the course in sturdy sneakers and prepare separate shoes for water play to keep things smooth. In summer, do not push too hard and take frequent breaks in the shade.
