This is a large grassy plaza spreading across the center of the Forest and Plaza of the 21st Century. As the name suggests, the breeze passes through well, and if you choose a shady spot it is surprisingly comfortable even in midsummer. Water springs up at the edge of this plaza and flows as a small stream down to Sendabori Pond (千駄堀池), so it is also interesting that you can see with your own eyes where the afternoon's water begins. It is just the right time to spread a picnic sheet, eat lunch, and rest up for the afternoon water play. Whether the shop is open varies by day, so preparing your lunch and drinks in advance is the sure way to go.

松戸市の21世紀の森と広場にある、無料の水遊び場「21世紀の森と広場水とこかげの広場」です。光と風の広場のフチから湧き出た水が小川となって千駄堀池へ流れていく構造で、上流から下流へと流れをたどりながら遊べます。橋の下が日陰になっているので、暑い日でも涼しい場所を見つけやすいのが家族連れにはありがたいところ。入園は無料です。公式に水遊びの開設期間の記載はないため、出かける前に管理事務所(047-345-8900)へ確認してください。開設期間は未発表で、例年は夏休み期間の開放となっています。
