About this spot

This facility along the main approach to Naritasan serves as both a tourist information point and an exhibition space. The highlight is the display of floats paraded at the Narita Gion Festival, where you can look up at the fine carvings and decorations from close range. Even when it is not festival day, it is fascinating how clearly you get a sense of how this town greets the summer. There is also a rest area, making it a handy place to catch your breath partway along the approach. The exhibition is compact, so even small children can finish looking round before they lose interest.

Tips

Opening days and hours can change, so check before you set out. The approach is busy and the street is narrow, so hold small children by the hand as you walk. Taking a break here before heading to lunch lets you shift slightly off the peak of the crowds.
