A shrine in Senda, Arida City, revered since ancient times as the guardian deity of the area. The calm precincts are surrounded by trees, and even on a summer morning the approach path stays cool. A festival that has continued here for centuries is still handed down, and the very air tells you this is a place bound up with local life. The distance to the main hall is not long, so even families with small children can visit without strain. The idea is to offer a prayer at the start of the day before heading for the park.

有田市の「有田市健康スポーツ公園 BIG SMILE PARK 水遊び噴水(えみくるランド)」は、遊具ひろば「えみくるランド」の中にある水遊びの噴水です。同じひろばには6歳から12歳向けのスーパーアスレチックコンビ、誰でも遊べるインクルーシブゾーン、高さ13.3mのハイタワーチューブスライダー、3歳から6歳向けの3Dトランポリン、日よけになる防災パーゴラが併設されています。水に飽きたら遊具、遊具に飽きたらまた水と、年齢の違う兄弟でもそれぞれの遊び場が見つかるのが大きな強みです。えみくるランドの遊具と水遊び噴水は無料で、えみくるフィールドとえみくるドームは有料。ほかにも健康遊具ルート「えみくるルート」、屋根付き多目的ひろば「えみくるドーム」、人工芝の多目的グラウンドがそろっています。

水遊び噴水の稼働期間は公式に未発表で、例年は夏季に動いています。訪れる前に有田市の案内で当日の稼働状況を確認してください。公園の開園時間は午前8時から午後9時30分までなので、日差しの弱まる夕方に遊ぶ計画も立てられます。水にぬれた地面は滑りやすいので、走らないよう先に声をかけておくと安心です。日陰は防災パーゴラなどにかぎられるため、レジャーシートと帽子、こまめな水分補給を忘れずに。

Tips

You are free to visit, but please stay quiet in front of the main hall. The precincts are mostly gravel paths, so in some spots a baby carrier moves more easily than a stroller. There is plenty of shade, but it is summer, so do not forget drinks and hats. On festival days the precincts and nearby roads can get crowded, so checking the event schedule in advance is reassuring.
