The summer-only toddler pool 「Nakanoshima Park Toddler Pool」, set up in Nakanoshima Park in Wakayama City. In 2026 it operates from Saturday 18 July to Wednesday 12 August, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It is for pre-school children only; elementary school age and above may not use it. A guardian must accompany the child, and a swimsuit is required. Ordinary disposable diapers and pull-ups are not permitted, so please prepare swim diapers for children not yet out of diapers. Admission is free, so you can take the casual approach of watching how your child does and wrapping up after a short while.

The park has no car park, so please use public transport or a nearby paid car park. It closes at 12:30 p.m., so allowing time to change and getting out of the water around 12:15 saves a rush. So you can move straight into lunch after playing, deciding on a meal spot in advance keeps things smooth.
Best time to visit
About 50 minutes. The sun grows strong near closing time, so work in a rest in the tree shade.
