The Kosei Park Toddler Pool, a summer-only children's pool set up in Kosei Park in Wakayama City. In 2026 it is open from Saturday, July 18 to Wednesday, August 12, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is only for children of preschool age; elementary school students and older cannot use it. A guardian must accompany the child, and swimwear is required. Ordinary disposable diapers and pull-ups are not allowed, so prepare swim diapers for children who are not yet out of diapers. Admission is free, so you can keep it casual and wrap up after a short while depending on how your child is doing.

Tips

Some materials published by the city give the start date as Saturday, July 19, where the date and day of the week do not match. The pool may also be cancelled due to rain or other weather conditions. The park has no parking lot, so use public transport or a nearby paid parking lot. These hours fall in the strongest sunlight, so take frequent breaks in the shade and drink water often.
