This is the Water and Sports Park (Fukasaku Water Distribution Plant) Splash Pool at Water and Sports Park in Minuma Ward, Saitama City. In 2026 it runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Wednesday, September 30; the park is open 9:00 to 17:00 and the splash pool until 16:30. It cannot be used on Friday, July 24 because of cleaning, and it also closes in bad weather and on cleaning days. It has an unusual layout, with the top of the Fukasaku water distribution plant opened up as a park, and there are a gateball court and tennis courts as well as the splash pool. Use is free and pets are not allowed. Open across three months, it is a long-running water-play spot that can still be used in the lingering heat of September.
Tips
It cannot be used on Friday, July 24 because of cleaning, so plan around that day. It also closes in bad weather and on cleaning days, so check the day's status on the official Saitama City website before you set out. Note that the splash pool ends at 16:30, half an hour before the park closes. Pets are not allowed. After water play, wash feet thoroughly at the tap, and take breaks in the shade as you play.
Best time to visit
About 2 hours 45 minutes. After 15:00, when the sun softens, is especially comfortable.
