Hamadera Park Fountain (a fountain plaza where you can play in the water) is a free water-play spot beside the No. 2 and No. 3 parking lots of Osaka Prefectural Hamadera Park. The 2026 season is a long one, from Wed 4/1 to Wed 9/30, 9:00-19:00, and from 18:00 to 19:00 you can watch the fountain lit up. Because the plaza is ringed by pine woods, the sea breeze passes through, and even in midsummer you can catch your breath in the shade, a comfort unique to this park. There are restrooms and a shop in the park, and admission is free. Since it runs until 19:00, on scorching days you can plan to set out in the late afternoon and play once things have cooled down. It is closed at least one day a month for cleaning and operation is cancelled in bad weather, so just remember to check before you leave.

Tips

Check the cleaning days and operating status on the park notices. The floor around the fountain is slippery when wet, so water sandals that stay on your feet are safest. Assume there are no changing rooms and bring a wrap towel or poncho you can pull on over your clothes to make changing easy. The No. 2 and No. 3 parking lots are the nearest, but they fill up on weekends, so consider coming by train.
