The Sakura Piyo Park (Sakurakita Park) Infant and Toddler Water Play Area is a shallow water play area exclusively for infants and toddlers that Minoh City opens only during the summer. In 2026 it is open from Monday 20 July to Monday 31 August, 10:30 to 15:30, closing for a lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00. It closes on rainy days, but it opens on weekends and public holidays too, so it can be built into weekend plans. Being exclusively for infants and toddlers is its greatest feature, with little worry about being pushed by bigger children running about, so even a child touching water for the first time can get used to it at their own pace. Outside the summer season the site is used as an infant park, so it is an environment originally arranged for small children. Admission is free, and you can drop by as casually as visiting a neighbourhood park.

Tips

It closes for a lunch break from 12:00 to 13:00, so do not make plans that span that period. It also closes in rain, so on doubtful days check Minoh City's information before you set out. Whether swim nappies are required should be confirmed from the notices on site. Shade is limited, so a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen and plenty of drinks for infants and toddlers are reassuring.
